More Behind the Mythicality

Crystie Swantek on August 28, 2019 at 7:31 am

In the Calorie Countdown: Cheesecake Factory video, I loved Ellie's motivational pep talk at the beginning. I was not expecting it and it honestly made me tear up. Love you, Ellie!

Sierra Teate on June 2, 2019 at 8:56 pm

Horribly late comment but I absolutely loved when Josh decided to bring out a Borat impression for no reason from the gross pasta sauce episode! Also nearly spit out my drink when Link for some reason thought it was a good idea to start talking about his prostate in the calorie countdown: cheesecake factory video lmao

LeeAnna Brooks on May 20, 2019 at 3:39 am

I think you can’t go wrong with the chocolate fountain episode. “Welcome to the internet, Fam!”

KELLY C BRITTEN on May 18, 2019 at 7:27 pm

Definitely like the food ones on how things are constructed and tested! Like the new air fryer one the best so far!

Mitch Hjelseth on May 18, 2019 at 5:22 pm

The flaming hot behind the Mythically the last couple minutes are laugh out loud funny.

Adam Wertsbaugh on May 18, 2019 at 9:19 am

Josh breaking the cutting board was priceless. He had the look like Daddy Rhett was gonna whoop his little behind. Classic.

Carmen Marie Tamas on May 18, 2019 at 5:53 am

Can’t really think of just one, but when I do, “I will come up big”!

Annie on May 15, 2019 at 9:26 pm

The Raw Egg one was my favorite—made me laugh the whole time! I was also SOOO excited about the sound check and INCREDIBLY bummed that it was only for 3rd degree. Maybe a delayed release for us lowly 2nd degree-ers? :)

Sarah A Garrett on May 15, 2019 at 8:57 pm

I will have to say in the BTM for Will it Air Fry when everyone is outside getting air because someone *cough* *Link* turned the fryer all the way up... But to see most of the crew in a different area then where Rhett and Link were was quite funny... And Stevie's comment about respecting their space lol 🤣

Carol Stein on May 15, 2019 at 3:17 pm

I loved the Will It Muffin? BTM episode where I get to see Josh's process in creating the Gatorade and McMuffin Muffin. And yeah, I totally judged Josh for using a muffin mix instead of making it from scratch 😂

Guru Shabd Khalsa on May 14, 2019 at 8:38 pm

I love the sound check!!! More music and covers please!! I love watching Mythical Chef Josh work. And also the BTS of filming, especially the destroying things game!

Tiffany reeves on May 14, 2019 at 2:28 pm

Link pretending to feed everyone a cake taco

Gray Kearns on May 14, 2019 at 12:55 pm

i loved when rhett and link spent at least a minute getting the perfect pitch and words right for the "so many fruits in here, we take off all their peels" that was really funny

Kat Conrad on May 14, 2019 at 11:03 am

Bloopers and BTS with Josh. I love the sound checks too. ;)

Gwen B on May 14, 2019 at 10:47 am

I like to see extra scenes from GMM with Rhett and Link.

Hayden Piel on May 14, 2019 at 10:40 am

I liked the latest BTM with the Air Fryer because I loved seeing the extra scene with the cake that didn't make it into the final youtube video and I loved the real behind the scenes section when yall went outside because of the burnt smell inside and you showed us what it was like when everybody is just talking and the stuff that isn't even necessarily part of the show, but the regular stuff that happens daily at the office.

Hayden Piel on May 14, 2019 at 10:51 am

Well, not the cake not making it in, but the other items that didn't make it on the show. That was super fun to see.

JaeTee on May 14, 2019 at 8:43 am

i liked watching Link pose for the thumbnails, watching the crew hang outside after burning the football, seeing R&L prep for filming, and the entire sound check that Link shared that was so moving.

thanks for all your hard work guys you are amazing.

Laura Johnson on May 14, 2019 at 8:17 am

I enjoy the bloopers and sound checks! But honestly anything behind the scenes is great so thank you for sharing!

Gabriel Bostick on May 14, 2019 at 7:16 am

bloopers, BTS with Josh, office interactions, soundcheck was great, and i would like to see some BTS of Merch related things.

Erin Root on May 14, 2019 at 6:54 am

My three favorites:
Everything about the soundcheck (💗)
Alex's interactions with R&L in the Lick Tac Toe one
Seeing the props/how R&L prepare for the episode in the Cheesecake Factory one

Annette Gauwitz on May 14, 2019 at 6:41 am

I loved the sound check the most. That was really cool! Loved seeing the guys sing a few classic songs from their hero. It actually brought tears to my eyes . Also anything with Josh! 🙂

Emery Mikel on May 14, 2019 at 6:21 am

My favorite things are the unexpected ones - such as the time during the football fumes break/evacuation, seeing the sets/offices/building from different angles, and moments like Link posting the rehearsal (Rhett, Link, Britton). It’s great seeing the crew, but I like those best when Rhett and Link are either in the background occasionally or pop in to comment. Feels like that ties it even more into behind the scenes.

Nathaniel Evanetz on May 14, 2019 at 4:52 am

My daughter and I love being able to see things we don’t normally see on GMM! Also anything with Chase or Josh!

Kristina Jackson on May 14, 2019 at 1:29 am

Literally anything that shows the set from different angles that we do not normally see. Also ya'll having to evacuate 'cause of that football stank. Felt like watching adults have to do a fire drill.

Bryanna M Bauer on May 14, 2019 at 2:44 am

Same. But also Shando and puppies.

Sarah Lee on May 13, 2019 at 8:49 pm

anything with josh

Ellie McNatt on May 13, 2019 at 8:08 pm

One of my all time favorite Behind the Mythicality moments is definitely the soundcheck! Gives me chills every time I go back to revisit and listen to it. I also love all the little blurbs that Rhett and Link give to us in between takes. Makes me feel like I am really part of the crew! :)

Cameron Dixon on May 13, 2019 at 5:15 pm

When Josh actually didnt like the wine and cheese in the air fryer ep, or the sex education with Davin in the will it muffin ep

Annie Lefebvre on May 13, 2019 at 5:08 pm

My favorite moment is in Fancy fast food $500 footlong at 5:00 (it took me a while to find it, lol)
It's when Josh says that he never know when Jen is around and calls her sneaky and fast! I laugh so hard at that moment! She's the best at her job!

RJ Platto on May 13, 2019 at 7:14 pm

I think the part that was most unexpected and hilarious was when Chef Josh broke the cutting board while chopping of the head of a duck carcass with a meat cleaver. He was also just as surprised as we were.

Stephanie Cagle on May 13, 2019 at 5:04 pm

Me again! 👋🏻
I forgot to say that I love any time Rhett and Link talk to us behind the scenes.
I like watching all the preparations before a take.

Stephanie Cagle on May 13, 2019 at 5:02 pm

· My favorite moment was in Can We Destroy It? when Becky smashed the watermelon for us. I liked that we got to see something special that wasn't in the main video.
· Second place was Link's proud smile when Britton played his guitar solo in the D. C. rehearsal video.
· I'd love to see more Mike Pasley creations being conceived and built.

Willard Dimes III on May 13, 2019 at 4:50 pm

Like most people on here, love seeing the bloopers but also love to see how things are created for the show. To the Will It's, Food Prep, product testing, etc. its all great. I would love to see more of R & L as well. Another feature that would be nice to see more of is how they construct things for example the wheel of fortune spinner for the episodes. Seeing the crew is very cool as they figure out how to come up with ideas for the show and then do the testing, love it!

Jessica Ross on May 13, 2019 at 4:48 pm

I am loving the making of the sets, bloopers ( love to see more). I love seeing the creative mind of Josh and The props department at work.
I would like to see more of how Rhett and Link prepare for the episodes, wardrobe and at times mental prep as some tasks are a battle😂. Favourite moments so far is the cereal BTS, love the extended cuts and the latest putting things in the air dryer.

Amelia Marshall on May 13, 2019 at 4:45 pm

As opposed to a specific moment I really like when we get a complete look at the workings of an episode, from writing, to testing, to the unpolished moments of filming that don't make it into the episode. I like all or it, but it's a bit hard to ask for more of everything 😂 I personally love seeing Josh but I also like the creative cooking side of it all and I know everyone doesn't so much, I like seeing the other crew members but I also like when we get RandL insight of how they are behind the scenes, like I said, more of everything 👍 but in general the newer longer episodes are really enjoyable, and I think as the society continues to develop the BTS episodes will become something amazing

Amelia Marshall on May 13, 2019 at 4:46 pm

Not the most polished response but I think I get my point across 👍

robyn Brown on May 13, 2019 at 4:34 pm

I really enjoy seeing the process that goes into the planning and making of an episode, along with all the preparation From Josh or other mythical team members. My favourite btm is the sound check, just cause it's such a special thing to be able to see as someone who won't be able to see your shows. I would love to see the singing or presenting of the episode openings, cause those are always great. Other than that, I am really enjoying being a Ms member, and am so grateful for the effort you put in to ensure we receive something totally unique and fulfilling.

Caden Laos on May 13, 2019 at 4:09 pm

I loved when Alex attempted to break the urn with salami and miserably failed, while Link destroyed it.

Erin O’Neill on May 13, 2019 at 4:00 pm

Love bloopers. Love the wee Neals and McLaughlins. Too much Josh for my taste but what he did for No Kid Hungry was epic. I guess I’m old fashioned. I like the guys being the guys and off the cuff. I’ve started rewatching old eps because I miss the un “slickness” of it all. I do very much appreciate seeing things that not everyone has access to. So that’s cool. But yeah, bloopers. Cool.

Michelle Cobb on May 13, 2019 at 3:58 pm

I liked the latest Air Fryer episode because it introduced all the people involved in the episode and stated what their role was and we got to see the inception of the episode. Then having R&L's reactions/comments on certain things discussed during the writing (?) process brought it all together. I think the main reason people joined the Society was for more R&L content specifically. So, as much as people like the crew and are curious about the behind the scenes, Rhett and Link themselves shouldn't be afterthoughts in the videos.

Melanie Gehrmann on May 13, 2019 at 10:20 pm

Michelle and Erin are right. 👍 Those are my thoughts, too.

Caitlin Jackson on May 14, 2019 at 10:53 am

Erin O’Neill on May 13, 2019 at 4:03 pm

You stated my thoughts much better than I could. MS feels like it should be more access to the two guys we love, not cameos. The vlogs are great. But I’d like to see more of how R and L contribute bts.

Stephanie Cagle on May 13, 2019 at 5:08 pm

Amen to Michelle and Erin, both.

Ben Palmer on May 13, 2019 at 3:51 pm

My favorite part was link threading Jen after he had smashed the tea urn with the salami in the smash for cash episode lol XD

Frida Klüver on May 13, 2019 at 3:48 pm

I don't specifically have a favorite moment or episode, I just, in general, LOVE all the random moments where everybody's just doing their thing and Jen sneaks up on them!

Leena Pentti on May 13, 2019 at 3:44 pm

I've enjoyed everything, but I kinda liked the entire raw egg episode, with Link feeling sick and being shocked by Kermit's real intestine, and Rhett still eating after the drinking the eggs. Josh talking passionately about his potato dish.

Caitlin Jackson on May 14, 2019 at 10:53 am

Such a good episode!!

Molly Fowler on May 13, 2019 at 3:33 pm

The Ryman/DC sound check was really special as a candid look into a show prep. It felt really special.

In the vein of comedy, everyone likes a good blooper 😉
I personally enjoyed the Easter BTM and, yes, the cutting board moment!

Laura Hill on May 13, 2019 at 3:11 pm

I have two the jockstrap Behind the Mythicality and Will it Taco Behind the Mythicality. Because with the jockstrap one it was hilarious to watch Shep kick Link and the Will it Taco because it celebrates 1500 episodes. Love you guys and the Mythical Crew! Can't wait to see what the future holds for y'all and for us to see. SEMPER CURIOSUS

Katherine Nowak on May 13, 2019 at 3:11 pm

Josh talking about about his goat man for the game of thrones episode and the bolwing ball knocking off the mannequins torsos for the jock strap testing episode.

Emily Olsen on May 13, 2019 at 3:08 pm

1) the dress rehersal
2) will it tacp
3) Fame of Thrones

Jason Allgood on May 13, 2019 at 3:08 pm

In a more general sense, I really enjoy the behind the mythicality moments that involve Josh cooking or inventions for the show being tested or put together. Those two subjects are particularly interesting to me. For example, showing how the cereal cannons were put together or watching Josh find out which food items work best for a skit.

Britt Linné Semenow on May 13, 2019 at 3:05 pm

Which Jock Strap Is Best - mostly because I love to see Mike Pasley's work featured!

Teerni Becker on May 13, 2019 at 3:03 pm

Rahul Nambiar on May 13, 2019 at 3:01 pm

I loved Rhett and Link singing the title songs without the graphics. It would be awesome if the week's songs can be complied here.

Erin O’Neill on May 13, 2019 at 3:56 pm

Emily-Anne Paul on May 13, 2019 at 2:59 pm

Anything that shows the work that goes in to planning and testing an episode. I also really enjoying seeing Pasley's creative process building all the various contraptions.

Joy Steinmiller on May 13, 2019 at 2:55 pm

I like seeing bloopers. I especially love getting to know more of the crew.

Dec on May 13, 2019 at 2:51 pm

When Becky distorted the watermelon in th breaking stuff episode

Ray wyatt on May 13, 2019 at 2:49 pm

I love anything that involves josh doing things he’s super funny and is very descriptive on when he cooks. He also knows when to laugh at himself it’s great

Lauren Bynum on May 13, 2019 at 2:48 pm

Bloopers, outtakes, and shots of rhett and link shooting the shows

Shell on May 13, 2019 at 2:46 pm

the ryman soundcheck. it felt so special and intimate for link to share that with the society!

shep kicking link in the crotch a bunch in the jockstrap episode outtakes

any time pasley shows how he made a prop

josh forcing crew members to eat his test foods

Lyndsey Bateman on May 13, 2019 at 2:45 pm

I honestly think my favorite moment is Josh chopping the cutting board in half. The bloopers are the best.

Michael Martinez on May 13, 2019 at 2:42 pm

Josh cooking is the best. He takes an awesome comical way to his culinary skills!

Breanna M McKamey on May 13, 2019 at 2:42 pm

Anything with Shando, Josh cooking, and Becky Lynch smashing things. Also the sound check from Rhett and Link Live, but that one doesn't really count.

Claude Devine on May 13, 2019 at 2:42 pm

I'm really enjoying it all, honestly. My favorite would have to be the content that shows the production side of the show and how everything is put together. It's always nice to see a "how it's made" for stuff you really like.

Matthew Wheeler on May 13, 2019 at 2:41 pm

Bloopers, or outtakes!

Christina Hauze on May 13, 2019 at 2:41 pm

I love when Link says, what the crap and when Rhett talks about how he is preparing for the Apocalypse.

Katie Bolling on May 13, 2019 at 2:39 pm

When we saw Shep repeatedly kicking Link in the crotch trying to get the best take

Beth Ward on May 13, 2019 at 2:41 pm

I like seeing the crew talk about their plans and options for an episode. It’s funny to watch and already know what ideas they take onto the show and which ones they decide against.
