Rhett talking about the future and 'car sharing' giving me Elon Musk tweeting about his plans for bus travel 2 capitalist boogaloo lmaooo
I like how in real life Link is talking so quietly and more softly with a more southern accent, but Rhett is pretty much as he is on the show! anyone?
I'm incredibly happy to hear I'm not the only one who instinctively signals at sharp turns.
Missed a golden opportunity to call it a Smellmet
My first carpool vlog!
I have a FORD EDGE and my car does NOT DO this but if it did it would be great.I too would nap behind the wheel so it’s probably good I don’t have this. I don’t think I would trust it around the curve..well with my own car..try it with someone else’s .. Technology is great ❤️
Interesting perspectives to hear from the guys and in the comments! I always considered Tesla car goals ever since I've relocated somewhere more electric vehicle-friendly. After hearing about someone getting trapped in their Tesla because the doors wouldn't open, I've become more open to sticking with Toyotas instead :-)
Self-driving also scare me, simply because the technology can pick up on things we can't see, like paint that can only be picked up via infrared, since that's part of how these cars can "see". I believe I read something about the possibility of unsavory characters using that stuff to create some havoc with self-driving cars.
The host of cash cab is Ben Bailey. I have been watching reruns of it since covid.
Does anyone know what car Rhett drives? Self driving isn't an option because it's dangerous, I've seen endless examples of self driving cars stopping accidents from happening and cars can be programmed to be more aware than a person.. Id rather have everyone driving around in self driving cars than having the chance that I have a drunk driver coming towards me
It's most likely a Tesla. They charge extra for complete auto-pilot lol
Congrats to Brian on a personalized Car Pool Vlog 😂 that's awesome!
Thanks XD - I am just now watching this today, haha!

Love you two wackos
I know someone who uses Luddite with pride, that's cool, they don't like technology and is a very respectable thing... except that he's one of the bosses at the company I work in, which is an IT company, and it can be a pain in the booty knot. I'm not a technician and my job does not really require for me to have technical knowledge, but it helps a lot to understand the tech's jargon and job, we all know that... except that guy, and makes things 10 times harder than they need to be. But the point of all this is that he would tell Link that he doesn't feel is an insult, he likes it and uses it with pride.
Self driving cars bother me because I’m not the one in control and driving is a situation I definitely want to be in control of.
Also, Link seems to be tired a lot. You ok, bestie?? 😜
"Do I trust self-driving cars?" Huge, NO. Tesla that was recently obliterated happened in The Woodlands, TX, where I live. When I read about it and learned how close he was from where drive originated to where accident happened and saw images of what was left of the vehicle, and worse, how those two souls lost their lives. Aw, man. Devastating. So, no. That's a big "no" from me.
Luddite, hmmm... I totally agree with Link. I inferred from Rhett's use of the word as a put down. 100%
Airbnb, recording bedroom action... yup. I agree with Rhett on this one 1000%. Of course there are recording devices intentionally set up which some unscrupulous hosts capture people having sex, wherever in the house, actually, not just the bedroom... because humans.
My current car is so old that it still has a tape deck.😜 So I obviously am not too fired up on self driving vehicles.
Rhett are you using your blinker at all during any of this????
How would a Luddite be offended by Rhett using the term if they don't use technology lol?
Wouldn't trust a self driving car but it seems I also learned other things I shouldn't be trusting if I ever stumble into them in the deep internet. :D
Ben Bailey
since I am sitting here in NC trying to get gas but can't since it was hacked. I am not as inclined to have a self driving car.
I think I'd be okay with self-driving cars if everybody had them. As long as there are mostly human-driven cars out there, there are too many variables for me to feel safe.
As for air-fresheners, my parents' car has a specific place for scent thingies, and there was a sample scent that came with the car. I instantly said I would never drive them anywhere if they used it. Artificial scents in a small closed space are an absolute nightmare.
These guys gotta be careful! If you pause the video you can make out landmarks and street names. I'm sure they start the video once a reasonable distance from their homes but still, I don't want some unstable or impulsive fan bothering them (and their families) at home.
Respect their privacy, we don't own them, we're just borrowing their time.
True, but I'm sorry to say all types of stuff comes up anyway. I Googled them (because I watched a video of them in the creative house and saw that LINK was taller than the top door hinge and I was like 'wait, WHAT? I thought this guy was like 5'9" when I first watched because Rhett is a head taller lol').
I won't mention what's out there; I'm sure they already know. I will say that crazy people already have what they need to do crazy s***, though. Hopefully, no one has done anything like that.
It's sad what info on a LOT of us is already public. That's what scares me more than any self-driving car.
Luddite is an actual word to describe a person opposed to new technology or ways of working. It's the actual term. So if that is an 'insult' that is because it's something to be ashamed of being. If someone is gonna hold back progress as a species then they deserve to be called out.
When it comes to trusting a self driving car, remember that almost 100% of car crashes is caused by human error or humans being unable to react properly to a situation. It's an actual psychological thing to not 'trust' something you're not in control of even though it's humans that are the weakest link most of the time.
lolololo so did I 🤣
Lmao I'm glad it wasn't just me! 🤣🤣
This whole vlog just reminded how much I want to live like the Jetsons 😁
I was having extreme anxiety when Rhett wouldn't look at the road! No self driving cars for this mama.
Yes to self-driving cars. No to car airbnbs. Kudos to Rhett for bringing back the term "tallywacker" LOL
Air fresheners!! Hubs usually has to put his air freshener away when I get in the car. That, or listen to me complain about it. 😷
I canNOT imagine having (or fully trusting) a self driving car. Shoot, just watching Rhett's car made my heart rate spike. 😂 I'm too much of a control freak. Plus, I legitimately *enjoy* driving! Just this week I've been lamenting the fact that I don't have a stick shift anymore. I literally got home one day to hubby having sold my stick shift Subaru (it was straight-up GONE when I came home) so he could get me into a newer ride. I was kinda happy for the exchange but I did cry to see my old car go. It hurt my heart a little. 🥺 Dang, I miss shifting. I do like the perks in my newer car, though.
OH GOSH, more "tallywhacker" talk!! 🥴🙈 OOF
Why does it feel like Friday?? Later, y'all! I hope your weekend is amazing as you are! 🥰
PS: Love that Salt Valley button down, Link!
PPS: Apologies for being so long winded. Goodness.
I absolutely wouldn't trust it. No no no no.
I’m trusting the car, but not the other drivers around ;P
No. No way
