This was a really interesting episode. Glad to watch the uncut version to see even more! :D Mac was a very good boi πŸ’™

Mark Stanley on August 24, 2022 at 10:03 pm

I finally had a chance to watch this and it was really interesting. Obviously a difficult and dangerous task to take on, but a fascinating demonstration.

Kendra S Kastein on August 12, 2022 at 10:38 am

I would love to hear this experience talked about on a podcast. Butch was awesome. I laughed so many times during this.

Mary Bales on July 30, 2022 at 10:01 am

Loved that so much! My favorite part is when Mac farted on Rhett πŸ˜‚

Amber Templin on July 29, 2022 at 4:58 am

Mac was such a patient horse lol! loved that the team was able to edit this down as well as they did but I also love seeing the whole thing 🀣

Rachel Szczesny on July 28, 2022 at 2:15 am

incredible the whole thing! I loved it! I would love to give a shout out to the editing team for taking this over and hour long cut which I can imagine even this is edited down and putting together an episode that was still informative and entertaining and hit the high points as we saw here! no easy feat!!!

the intro with "mom and dads divorce" got me because my parents are about to finalize their divorce πŸ˜‚πŸ₯²

I’m so glad there’s a bts of this. No wonder you guys were wrecked! Over an hour is crazy

Amanda Polk on July 21, 2022 at 12:28 am

this was so hilarious to watch the whole thing! My husband watched it with me and one of his favorite parts was at the end when Link was like "Stevie I'm not doing this" πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Michelle King on July 20, 2022 at 3:10 am

So glad you posted all of this it was so hilarious. I'm sure everyone was thankful Link didn't try!

StormCrow on July 18, 2022 at 5:35 pm

Never seen Rhett with so much Sweat.

Kaylee Burnham on July 18, 2022 at 11:34 am

I kept wincing during this episode waiting for Rhett to get kicked. It made me so nervous! And I don’t know how butch had the patience with link talking over him nonstop πŸ˜†

Gabriela Fleitas on July 18, 2022 at 10:22 am

Butch completely stole the spotlight! So funny, just roasting them...

Jade Avery (they/them) on July 17, 2022 at 2:08 pm

seriously, when I was watching the main episode and Butch showed Rhett how he'd have to stand.... my back said no. I have no idea how he powered through that at 6'7"!

Stephanie Cagle on July 16, 2022 at 2:27 pm

Gosh, I'm 17 minutes in, and I really feel for Butch. 😬

Smorbie the great and beautiful on July 16, 2022 at 10:14 am

Link was wondering whether Rhett was upset that it was a failed episode (in More). Sugar, there's no such thing. The data produced was valid as far as Rhett goes.
1. No, you did not die.
2. No, you can't shoe horses without training.
3. Yes, Link shouldn't attempt this. You can get a horse and care for it, but just hire someone to do the shoeing.
4. Yes, there's a huge potential for Rhett to hurt himself. I didn't breathe comfortably until the end
5. Yes, Butch was patient
6. No, Butch was not happy
7. No, Butch wouldn't have lasted much longer.
8. Yes, he might have killed Link
If the motto is semper curiosis, you satisfied that. It's one less thing to be curious about. No failures there

I loved this episode! I know it's a little different than the usual gmm content but I thorough(bread)ly enjoyed it! :P Butch was such an amazing teacher and honestly, I could listen to the 3 of them talk for hours! Thanks Crew and Butch for such a mythical experience!

Link is me trying to be optimistic.

Collin Simmons on July 14, 2022 at 4:44 pm

This was fantastic, thank you very much for uploading the entire thing. There was some good information in here that had to get cut for the final episode, or maybe I have bad memory.

Christmas Eve LeVering on July 14, 2022 at 11:02 pm

I loved watching this episode!! it was so much fun seeing how rhett and Link interact with a horse 🐴🐎🐎.

Kayce Lissau on July 14, 2022 at 7:54 pm

We loved every minute of this episode!!! It was absolutely unhinged and unexpected...awesome!! Many tears of laughter.

Leena Pentti on July 14, 2022 at 12:25 pm

I was hoping you'd post the uncut video here, and you did - this alone is worth the subscription. I've never been a horse person, but watching this video really made me appreciate horses a lot more. A lesser being would have kicked Rhett for sure, but Mac stayed cool and calm. And also props to Butch for not kicking Rhett, and Rhett for not kicking Link - who actually did, what I think was necessary to keep the spirits up, and was being silly.

Next time you have horses around, maybe try braiding their manes with flowers and just taking their calm energy into yourselves, and leave the shoeing for the pros like Butch, now that you know what it really feels like. I've worked with metal enough to know that doing what Butch does with the ease he does it requires stellar skills, strong muscles, and the kind of knowledge of his materials you can't achieve in 90 minutes. Add a living being to the mix, and things get even more challenging.

And, I can say, even if the episode didn't go quite as you planned, it was fascinating to watch, and quite humbling, too, seeing the difference between a true artist at his craft, vs an internetainer. You all did good, and we're still good. πŸ’—

Smorbie the great and beautiful on July 16, 2022 at 10:18 am

Agreed. Link did a wonderful job of keeping the show movie and being funny. Also, loved the seriousness in his face when he kept checking in with Rhett to give him a way out. Very sweet.
It was a good episode. Mack deserves a big horse ball to play with for being such a sweetie.

Erica is Lost in the Music on July 14, 2022 at 6:20 pm

"He's gonna be rearing to go after this, isn't he! He's gonna wanna run around our parking lot with me clinging to his back. Naked." 😳🀣
DANG, that was some hard and dangerous work. The trepidation was palpable! Props to Rhett for tackling that endeavor! I am SO STINKIN' PROUD OF YOU!! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ» And also props to Link for being so encouraging but also knowing that he prolly shouldn't attempt it. I FEEL ya, mane! πŸ˜…
I wonder where Butch is originally from. his accent and cadence are a LOT like my grandpa, who is from Oklahoma. Neat!
Thanks for letting us see the whooooole thing, y'all! LOVE YA! I'm so glad everything turned out ok! πŸ–€

Kathryn Roessler on July 16, 2022 at 10:04 am

Totally unrelated but Erica how did you change your society profile photo? Ive been this grey human for 3 years now lol

Natalie LeClaire on July 14, 2022 at 6:09 pm

Butch is a legend! Unabashedly honest and unintentionally hilarious!

Julia OkoΕ„ska on July 14, 2022 at 10:04 am

You guys are CRAZY. I did not expect an hour and 13 minutes video!
It's fascinating to see them focus on one task and interact with Butch and Guin. Everyone was very patient, Rhett did a great job and Link was extra supportive πŸ˜„ I just really loved this format of an episode.

Beverley Smith on July 14, 2022 at 1:47 pm

I love how when Rhett started to take the old shoe off and he had to stand up, Link started talking to him about silly stuff and you know he was trying to give Rhett a breather. I think Rhett did great, a 6ft7 man aint designed for that lol! πŸ˜‚

Smorbie the great and beautiful on July 15, 2022 at 4:47 pm

No, he wasn't. I was worried about him. So thankful Link didn't do it.

I get super anxious when trying to learn new skills in high pressure situations, and watching Rhett struggle in this episode and feeling how stressed he was made me so uncomfortable. But it was also sweet and reassuring to see people who I look up to immensely struggling in the same ways the I do and be able to make jokes along the way. It's like virtual emmersion therapy. Even though the episode didn't turn out how they wanted it to, I still got a lot out of it!

Jessica Loria on July 13, 2022 at 10:01 pm

Wow Rhett, you did an amazing job not giving up and keeping up with Butch!!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Federica Riedel on July 14, 2022 at 3:42 am

this is truly amazing. I love the way how link keep asking questions and keep the conversation going while also being very fun about it. I love the way Rhett really pushes himself and did not give up. I can't imagine how hard it is.
also like other comments said, this longer uncut version is SOO much better then the cut down version. I am so glad I was able to watch this. keep it going guys .

Heather Pellegrini on July 14, 2022 at 6:05 am

couldn't of said it better myself! the horse was pretty though!

Paula Zaharia on July 13, 2022 at 8:36 pm

Butch seems very nice but also slightly annoyed and β€œsaucy” with Rhett and Link

Brennen Ballard on July 13, 2022 at 8:23 pm

My dad has been shoeing horses for nearly 30 years. It was amazing to see Rhett and Link do something like this. This episode brought back many memories of getting to watch my dad shoe horses. Mac did an amazing job on the show! Loved this episode (and Link's "worthless quips lol)

Lindsey Woods on July 14, 2022 at 3:18 am

Wow! That was so interesting! Link kept the commentary going while Rhett did his best - good job guys!

Julie Vallerand on July 14, 2022 at 2:37 am

honestly, the entire hour was more enjoyable to watch than the regular cut episode of 28min...😜

Katrina Bissonnette on July 14, 2022 at 1:47 am

The fact that there's a full uncut AND behind the Mythicality literally just made life worth living for me. My god I needed something like this tonight. The world seems much less dark right now than it did 10 minutes ago

Shameka Johnson reeves on July 16, 2022 at 8:25 am

I feel the same way! Sending good vibes your way.
