Hello!

1. Probably a tie between Instagram and Spotify
2. 30 Rock. I always wanted to watch the whole thing. So funny!
3. The Lord of the Rings series, the Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski, or anything by Neil Gaiman
4. Online shopping, definitely!
5. a tie between watching Christmas Vacation with my family or celebrating my passed grandmother's birthday, where we stay in our pajamas, eat ice cream for breakfast, binge-watch a ton of movies, and just enjoy a lazy day while remembering her and her sarcastic humor.
6. I traveled to Cuba a few years ago and it was a great vacation! A bunch of museums and cultural events to explore, and walking the Malecon was fantastic.
7. Shapeshifting. You can fly, crawl, swim, etc. depending on what you change into!
8. Old Navy, where I folded laundry, worked as a cashier and manned the fitting room. Pretty horrifying how many people don't care if strangers, no matter how unwilling they may be, see them naked. I was pretty traumatized at 14 for that, and I am pretty horrified now when I think back on it.
9. JJ was a popular nickname for my family members to call me. For my friends, They called me Toast Eater. Long story short, I said I didn't mind toast as a kid and my friends dubbed me Toast Eater in middle school. It went so long that I was gifted toast for my birthday for a couple of years by at least one friend. Weird what causes these things, and I am pretty glad that the nickname eventually fazed out. Strangely enough, it felt more mean than feeling like part of a group.
10. Probably pretty excited. As a librarian, I was a huge fan of reading as a kid.

Teresa's nickname should be Tereeses Pieces

Guru Shabd Khalsa on May 30, 2020 at 3:17 pm

every mythical crew member: sweet, silly and insightful story about how I’m doing and coping😁☺️✌🏻

Lucas: a story filled with angst and ennui about how as a CHILD I worked illegally to support my love and her overbearing mother and all I got were these haunting memories 👨🏻

😂😂😂😂

Trinity Wheeler on May 23, 2020 at 5:54 am

A1: I want to say Twitter and Instagram but it's probably TikTok.
A2: I'm not really binge-watching one thing at the moment, I'm kinda moving back and forth through YouTube, Netflix and DisneyPlus, it just depends on what I'm feeling like watching.
A3: Honestly I haven't read enough to fully know but I can say that The Lost Code is a favourite of mine.
A4: I don't know if this count but how people treat others who do makes me think that it would be closer to a guilty pleasure but cartoons, animated shows, and kids shows are a favourite of mine, like Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, etc.
A5: I'd have to say my favourite family tradition might be when we go to the cottage in August for a week, we've been doing it for years now so I think it's considered a tradition.
A6: I think my favourite vacation is when we went to Great Wolf Lodge as a family, as well as when we stayed in Niagra Falls in the Skyline Inn which is still one of my favourite hotels ever, and we just walked around doing stuff together.
A7: If I could have a superpower I really want the ability to wish whatever I want like I am my own genie.
A8: My first Job was an Umpire for softball and I have done it for several years now.
A9: Yes I have several nicknames mostly from my family because that's the type of family that I have. Some include Trin which I'll let many people refer to me like that, another is TT but I only allow certain people to call me that.
A10: I think my 10-year-old self probably wouldn't be impressed but I really don't know how my old self would react.

Rebecca Hemmingson on May 23, 2020 at 3:04 am

Bit late to the party but oh well lol
Most used App - Twitter by far
Binged show - I don't watch any normal TV but I enjoy supernatural, wouldn't call it binging though I'm all caught up
Best book - I've struggled to read any decent amount for a few years now but before I did like Odd Thomas (series but also the first book) by Dean Koontz
Guilty pleasure - not very interesting but any time my toddler sleep, lying on the couch and going on twitter or editing videos
Family tradition - Either going to a family friends bach and fishing or going to my Nana's and fishing (Great Barrier Island, look it up :) )
Fave vacation - Any to my Nana's or the couple weeks I had in New Caledonia as an exchange thing
Superpower - uhm probably super speed or something, could get everything done at home fast and have more time to chill with my son
First job - volunteering at an SPCA Op Shop, first paid job was an Inventory type job at a hardware store
Nicknames - Bex, Becky, Jelly (based on xbox gamertag JellyBubbl3) and my son obvs calls me mummy haha
My 10 year old self - would be surprised I'm still here tbh, she wanted to be a Vet but that was a rough time so I don't think she'd care I didn't become a vet she'd just be glad I stayed (yay!)

Kelly Webster on May 22, 2020 at 2:55 pm

ok, so
Emily your hair color is amazing!! just gorgeous
Ellie, wow you are so beautiful, we dont get to see you close up often.
Teresa, I agree Terri is a bit usual. how about Reesa.
David, yes I would choose the same for the same reasons.
Trevor, nice to see your face. I usually listen to books on tape.
I dont think my 10 year old self would be too impressed. I think I thought I would be a famous artist, or a really cool wild woman. I became practical instead. :-/ But maybe I would be impressed that I am self sustaining. no need for partner to survive.
I dont watch TV or Netflix so I dont binge watch, but I do get lost in TikTok- kinda wish I never found it.

Thanks Mythical Crew!!!!

Sarah A Garrett on May 22, 2020 at 1:30 pm

One interesting thing is that I haven't been in full "quarantine" during these past 10 weeks, I was working out of my office until about Early April. Then last week of April and all of May I have been on a partial furlough so I have A TON more time.
1. Most used app is Kindle, with Audible, since I am listening to all the books I as reading along with them. Currently, in just 2020 I have read 233 books. It looks like I have about half of those books in just the past 10 weeks.
2. TV show I am binging... really nothing I will watch randomly on YouTube, but nothing specific, because of my answer to #4 and #1...
3. Favorite book, this very hard since I fall in love with every series i read. So here are a few series
- The Librarian's Vampire Assistant Series by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff - has great current day humor, with mystery and bit romance and lead male characters is just to hilarious
- Colide by Michelle Madow - A one off book, with a very light paranormal/scifi-y book that has dual romance but not real... hard to explain but worth a read.
- The Ghost Bird/Academy Series by C.L. Stone - This might consider YA, but I think with some of the content I could be a little more New Adult. The full series is a VERY slow burn reverse harem.
- Elementals book series by Michelle Madow - is a new view on how greek demi god children take on their powers and save the world.
- Dark World sets of series (The Vampire Wish, The Angel Trails, The Faerie Games) by Michelle Madow - these are multiply series that are all in the same world so it fun to have this multi- part story that focus on different areas.
4. My guilty pleasure... if you haven't guessed by previous answers... reading/listening to books. I will being doing I am laying in bed, laying on the couch, making a meal, walking around the neighborhood, and even driving (some of those are just listening).
5. Family Tradition - Don't really have that many, but one that always tends to happen on Thanksgiving and/or Christmas is we go out see a movie - if anything good is playing.
6. Favorite Family Vacation - When my (late) Mom, (late) sister, & my nephews all meet up in Walt Disney World after my mom had a conference in Orlando. My nephews are now 17 & almost 14, but they were 6 & almost 3 at the time, even though there were still horrible days of having young in a big park WDW there were so many magical moments that I still remember all of them. Yes my younger nephew might not remember much, but the older remember some and I am happy for that. :)
7. Is time travel a Super Power? If it then that is what I want... Even if I can just go back in time an relive the exact same thing with no changes. And if I can't have that then what about telekinesis - moving stuff with my mind that would be fun.
8. 1st Job was when i was 16 (back in the late 90's) during the holiday season I worked at Sam Goody at the local mall. But since I didn't drive my parents would have drop me off/pick me up.
9. Nickname - I was never given a nickname by choice. My parents gave me one as a baby/kid, which isn't so much a nickname but just them be cute... Sarah-bear-a. Then I have friends just try to shorten my name to "Sar" or "S" but most people just call me Sarah.
10. What would the 10 yr old me think of my job... my job currently is working for a Blood Bank as Admin Asst/Data Analysis... I think my 10 yr old self would ask me (like most people do) if I see the blood... and personally I avoid going to the lab where our blood is stored. It isn't because freaks me out or anything, but I don't really have a need to go there. Other than that I don't think my 10 yr old self would care, since it would seem exactly like what my dad did when I growing up... except the blood. LOL

Jessica Ross on May 22, 2020 at 1:29 pm

1 twitter and Instagram. Keep communications with mythical beasts
2 I don’t know why, don’t ask me why....the vampire diaries. It is cringy and predictable
3 currently, cook books
4 guilty pleasure chocolate chocolate chocolate
5 family tradition would be all the family would join no matter wher they live, to celebrate together...while I cook for them all. Very fun 😊
6 America, I have traveled to see Rhett and Link perform, met some amazing people and am ready to do it again
7 mine is creepy, by I would ,love physic powers. I would like to talk to the dead and help solve crimes
8 First job was doing garlic bread in a Mexican restaurant. I was 14, it was cash in hand but it started my career in kitchens
9 spooky, Rosso are mine. Yours should be Whusu’s girl. Sorry if I spelt that wrong
10 my younger self would question why aren’t you married and have kids. Why are you working like mum does, all the time and everyday.😂😂 she would happy I was a chef, I have always loved cooking

Leena Pentti on May 22, 2020 at 2:57 pm

1. Most used app is probably Youtube, Audible is a close second. I like to listen to audio books while I draw, but sometimes I just let the videos roll in the background and listen more than watch.

2. I've re-(re)watched Buffy. I'm currently in the 7th season, so I need to find something else to binge. Maybe Westworld.

3. I've read so many books over time that naming one favourite is impossible. I was pretty blown away by the Clan of the Cave Bear series by Jean M. Auel. It's set in the stone age and I was absolutely fascinated by all the details of living in pre-historic times. And although I'm biased because I'm Finnish, I have to name a classic, Sinuhe the Egyptian by Mika Waltari.

4. Just saying this makes me cringe, but Say Yes to The Dress. I have no intention of ever marrying, so I have no excuse to watch a show about wedding dresses - but I think the show gives me insight to a part of human psyche that completely baffles me in real life. Why would you pay thousands of dollars for a dress you only wear once?

5. Favourite family tradition has to be what I fondly call the Christmas Chaos, we gather at my parents' house for the holidays, and despite swearing every year to take it easy from now on, we always end up being too loud, cooking and cleaning, sometimes having meltdowns, and finally calming down together over a glorious meal.

6. As a teenager, I went on a 8-day hike in the Swedish Lappland frlm Abisko to Kebnekaise with my parents and some friends. We hiked, slept in tents, and carried everything we needed in our backbags. It was divine.

7. This is one of those questions everyone should have an answer to, and I don't. I think I'd want to have the power to comfort others. Instead of being awkward, I'd always have the means to help others when they are hurting.

8. My first job was washing windows and cleaning at a paper mill. We got paid the minimum wage of cleaning personell there, and extra for hazardous work for some stuff. I got bullied by the other girls, but the money was welcome.

9. My name doesn't really turn to a nickname easily, and I've never had one. Sometimes people have tried to call me by my last name, but I don't respond to it. But I think T would be a great nick name for Theresa.

10. I think my 10-year-old self was quite a bit more ambitious than I am, and although I did dream about becoming an artist, my alternative career

Leena Pentti on May 22, 2020 at 3:02 pm

Darn it, I accidentally posted my answer one sentence short. To the 10th question: My dream career options at the age of 10 were scientist and/or artist, so the struggling artist that I am today isn't all bad. But I think I'd also think I'm seriously under-achieving. Then again, I think I'd have the capacity to understand that I'm pretty happy the way things are now, even if I didn't win the Nobel prize.

Sarah A Garrett on May 22, 2020 at 1:34 pm

I like your answer Jess! I wish I kept up with Vampire Diaries... I fell out so long ago.
Oh a Physic that would be cool power to have.
and you have been cooking for a long time I see ;)

Jessica Ross on May 23, 2020 at 1:44 am

Thank you Sarah 😁
Can you believe I took a paranormal course where we tried to channel some of our hidden abilities. 🙂
19 years working in a kitchen and still loving it

James A Fry on May 28, 2020 at 8:03 am

I have done a paranormal psychology course fun but hard, I already have science qualifications so that side of it was easy, zener cards the ESP test was the one I got

Amanda Themen on May 22, 2020 at 12:50 pm

1. I have been using the YouTube app the most, but my favorite app is probably Deemo, a rhythm game I have on my phone.
2. Just last night, I started binge-watching One Piece movies since the episodes aren’t gonna be coming in for a while it seems.
3. I haven’t read a book in a while, so the last time I had a favorite book it was Uglies and the series that goes with it :)
4. Hmmmm I’ve never really thought about guilty pleasures, but I guess one that I have is... actually, I’m really not sure lol
5. Every Christmas my family tries to go to New York City so that we can see all of the lights and Christmas decorations
6. My favorite vacation is going to Korea! It’s such an amazing place with my favorite food and I really hope to go there again, maybe even this year.
7. I think I would want to have invisibility as a super power. There’s a lot that you can get away with when having that ability.
8. My first job was working at a teriyaki place near my campus, and after that I never want to work with food again since I’m so terrible with it XD
9. Some of my friends call me Manda Panda, Manders, Moondo, and Mandy. If you couldn’t already tell my name is Amanda XD
10. I think my 10 year-old self would be pretty happy. I’m almost a completely different person from who I was back then, in a good way :)
