love ya guys...I mean gals.
Such a great and important convo!
loving all these crew podcasts but please don't forget to explain some things like 22 and TIM. I know what 22 is now but it took me a beat to figure out that TIM stood for This is Mythical. :)
I'm in Australia and we had our Prime Minister dismiss claims by a lady in Parliament House who accused a staff member of sexual assault.... later in a different news briefing he changed his mind... he said "after speaking with my wife she made me realise it could've been one of our daughters and I've not taken action to investigate the staff member ".. not exact quote but very close to.
My gosh it is scary that men in power need to be directly told to believe/care about women.
I know! Like the only way for some people to feel empathy is if you frame it as someone they know personally.
Jenna's point about men's way to relate to women is to frame them as 'mothers' or family members 👏👏👏 it's like when bad things have to happen to a man's mother/sister/daughter in order for them to acknowledge that they happen. ALL WOMEN ARE PEOPLE YOU DON'T HAVE TO KNOW THEM PERSONALLY!!
1000%
Love this, they're all so great!!
(Complete aside but the subtitles are really terrible :( It was funny that the subtitles said 'male gays' before Chase made the joke when he was actually saying gaze, but I really hope something will be finally done to make content more accessible for those who need them)
Hello! Thanks for letting us know about the subtitles! We've updated them to the correct gaze :) We used an external captioning service on this video to ensure our captions are accurate and accessible. We've had most success with this captioning service, so I'll look into what happened here to make sure this continues to be the case. Hope this helps :)
Fab thank you for replying and fixing it! it's been an ongoing issue for such a long time I hope they can get more accurate 😊
Alongside the Pride episode, this is probably my favourite episode of GMCP so far!
Awesome episode with the perspectives of some wonderful women! Thank you, Chase, for having these important conversations.
I loved chatting with everyone! Hope you all like our stories❤️
Thank you for watching/listening! We'd love to continue our talk and hear from you :)
-How have you helped lift others up? How has someone else helped lift you up?
-Is there a woman in your life who has inspired you or been a role model for you?
-Have you ever dealt with imposter syndrome? Was there any advice that helped you move past it, or advice you can share with others?
I'm a special school teacher and it is a highly female dominated field. I believe at this stage it's around 10% male/90% female. So in my workplace it could be expected there might be "bitching" but instead I really experience so many positives every day.
I'm a single mum working full time and sometimes my workload feels too much but I have so many supportive colleagues reminding me I can handle it. I even get post it notes left saying things like "keep being an inspiration" and it makes me feel so good inside.
I'm actively trying to do similar for my colleagues to remind them all that impressive educators they are and I hope this workplace spirit carries on long term.
My 9yo daughter is my inspirational woman that I know - geez she is a power house of resilience and direction. She knows what she wants and she demands it. At times I'm tempted to pull her back but then I think if she wants to dominate in whatever field she ends up in she's going to need that fire. Keep on sizzling my little fire cracker ❤️🔥
Amazing mythical women, you're doing awesome job!
