so interesting to see this 1.5 years later...this convo about what might happen in the future and traveling

Chi Sol on March 31, 2021 at 11:08 pm

This vlog has been so relatable, especially with the quarantine anniversary. Just felt so real and raw, I hope they don't have to go through this kind of stress again. And I really hope this pandemic ends soon for everyone's sanity.

Wolf on December 15, 2020 at 4:26 pm

I miss Link’s hair being like this. But my heart broke for him this entire vlog. As much as I prefer quarantine content over non quarantine content, I kinda hope we don’t need to go back for their sake.

Michelle Guess on June 6, 2020 at 5:09 pm

Question: Is chili truly chili if it has beans? Here in Texas that’s a hard no.

Haley Ramírez on July 5, 2020 at 6:54 pm

Fa real. 🤘

Michael Burgin-jones on June 4, 2020 at 5:28 am

when Rhett said Tokyo I was waiting for the really long whaaaaaaaaaaAaat bit

Esther Martinez on May 30, 2020 at 11:36 pm

I like how they were talking about delay, but discord has the least delay when it comes to streams and stuff. so why not use it since you guys use it for the society.

James Kenneth Jarillas on May 25, 2020 at 9:24 pm

There was plenty chemistry in this video <3

Raechel Blakeney on May 10, 2020 at 12:16 pm

I am so glad you didn't save the shirt conversation for after. It really made me chuckle on a day I need all the joyful moments.

Jennifer Gonet on May 10, 2020 at 12:21 am

This has been my favorite car pool vlog by far. It’s so raw and relatable. Link is so stressed and I just want to give him a hug and tell him it’s going to be okay.

Sofia Solferino on May 7, 2020 at 9:47 pm

I loved this! I'm sorry if it's annoying to read (because I feel like I say this every time) but I'd watch an hour of this, easy. I hope you guys can read these comments and realize it's alright! You can just keep talking; you can go off on a tangent! I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I come watch these particular vids for the same reason I adore Ear Biscuits. You guys keep me company. You always have but especially nowadays that I'm alone at home and social-distancing myself. Having said that, I know you guys don't always have a full hour of your day to sit and film these so this is definitely not a demand, but a reminder that it is fine if it ever comes to that. We love listening to you not only talk, but venting, because we can relate to what you're going through.

Link, I'm also in constant need of control, myself. And I can only be satisfied with myself after a day in which I've done something, anything. Work, washing the dishes, even eating properly! That's an accomplishment. I've been discussing that with my therapist and he says just getting through the day, even if we feel we've done nothing in particular, is really (really) something. These days we're going through something way beyond our control (and that idea terrifies me) so we can only have a say in how we personally deal with it, so that'll have to do. Just take care of ourselves and time will pass. 'Cause it'll be over. I second what someone else said in another comment in that I feel like giving you a hug. And I'm sure nobody's saying that because they feel sorry for you or they're being patronizing at all. In my case, at least, I know a hug is exactly what I need right now (I turned 30 last Monday and you can imagine how much I needed one then). So yeah, virtual hugs to you, pal. I hope we can all get through this and please (to whoever this might concern) remember not everyday will be a good day. It's normal to feel sh*tty and, if you live with other people, to crave some me-time. We're all human and we're doing our best in these weird times. Lots of love and thanks for the content you keep giving us despite your sh*tty days <3

Andrew Starks on May 9, 2020 at 6:32 am

Boom, right there is it. I just moved and am alone. GMM is a respite and damn as an introvert I've never wanted a hug more.

Jolanda on May 7, 2020 at 1:32 pm

If doesnt matter how long the videos get, or what the guys end up talking about, I always want more. And now I really want to see Rhett eat a meal like he described he does 😂. I share the feeling of the milkshake description. My mom always said to eat/drink slow and enjoy it. But I do enjoy it! Whether quick or slow. And Rhett's t-shirt really made his eyes pop 👌

Cole Sartell on May 6, 2020 at 3:47 pm

LOVE LOVE LOVE all the content on Mythical Society... But every video that has any length to it, freezes or has major buffer issues. Please look into this.

Mizze on September 9, 2020 at 8:19 pm

Who whispers about French people eating??? Lol

Christy S. on May 6, 2020 at 5:16 pm

I mostly get that when I'm using a mobile device. So I save to watch the videos for when I'm on the computer. :)

Mythical Society on May 8, 2020 at 11:43 am

Thank you for letting us know! We will bring to the attention of Vimeo.

Liz Glass on May 6, 2020 at 9:05 am

Thank you for continuing to vlog - it is what we all need right now regardless how the conversation goes. Keeping it real is why your viewers fell in love and continue to follow. I'm a newer MS member and have enjoyed ALL your content. I hope you both feel the love by your MS. LIfe right now is strained for everyone and it challenges our way of thinking but also coping. As a nurse, witnessing many heartbreaking events, including a personal loss of loved one to COVID 240 miles away, has made me anxious in ways I could never imagine. Hang in there guys and find something that brings you joy and peace!

Diana Borasio on May 6, 2020 at 8:14 am

I just want to hug Link. Both for his stress in this video and because of his leaking roof problems in today's GMM. If it's any help, Link, know that we're all with you and that this interminable quarantine WILL eventually end one of these days. I appreciate so much all the content you two have been providing. It's been a life-saver for me and for a lot of MBs. And please do what you can in these very trying times to take care of yourselves. We love you guys.

Ashley Wyckoff on May 6, 2020 at 7:22 am

Link please don't be too hard on yourself. We are so grateful for any content you can put out. Love you both!

Andrew Neveils on May 6, 2020 at 6:30 am

What if they did a social distancing walking VLOG together? This one was great because they were in their cars and it wasn't at their homemade workstations like the last one was.

Or maybe some poolside VLOGs?

Donna Samudio (DonnaYWT) on May 10, 2020 at 10:58 am

I love both of these ideas!

Medea Warren on May 6, 2020 at 5:01 am

Loved every minute of this.

Erika K on May 6, 2020 at 3:18 am

Link stressing out about the minutiae is so relatable! He needs Rhett back to break his focus on detail!

This was a great vlog guys! I love being “behind the curtain”. I feel like I’m saying this a lot lately...but THANKS!!!

Laura McCallan on May 6, 2020 at 1:35 am

I wanna second what most of these wonderful mythical beasts said, and also say that I love these rambling videos! We will all be OK after this time, we are forever connected by going through this experience. Let's hope that more people than not remember not to take things for granted in future xx love you guys and thanks for the entertainment!

Rebecca Hemmingson on May 5, 2020 at 9:26 pm

I upgraded to 3rd specifically for this after seeing people tweeting about it, and I'm glad I did - I just wanna hug you guys and say it's gonna be okay, Link looks and sounds so stressed, and I feel that - hang in there guys you got this <3

Kat Conrad on May 5, 2020 at 8:29 pm

After this is over can you guys do a reunion vlog?
I felt like related to to most of what link said in this. You two do so much for us , just hang in there.

Marneena Evans on May 5, 2020 at 7:28 pm

Hang in there, guys, we'll get out of this eventually.

Jessica Mueller on May 5, 2020 at 7:14 pm

I know yall think it's boring when you do a video that rambles on about random things, but I LOVE IT. 💚Definitely my favorite carpool vlog. It's like we get to be a part of a real conversation, almost like getting to hang out with you guys. It's really comforting to someone like me who's been in isolation for 6 weeks and starting to go a little nutty. Of course everyone has their struggles, and when you talk about yours, it makes mine feel a little more manageable. I appreciate the efforts you have gone to keep making content SO MUCH. It's really helping me not lose my mind to have so many lovely little things to look forward to. THANK YOU!!!💚💚💚

MaryJo Magee on May 5, 2020 at 5:50 pm

This felt like a 'real' car pool discussion, with all the ups and downs we are facing right now.
I noticed that Link sat back, closed his eyes and just breathed for a minute, he commented that he has a meditation app and tracks it daily. I do the same . Thanks for putting out all the content GMM, Ear Biscuits, Vlogs etc for us. On top of being familial and business responsibilities too. Please make sure you both take of yourselves too!

Megan Rook on May 5, 2020 at 5:43 pm

Thanks for continuing in creating Mythical content during these peculiar times. I’m an introvert who has been isolated for over a month and I miss exploring the city.

I would of LOVED the Japan vlog! Maybe down the road, several months or years later, look back into it? I went to Japan almost 4 years ago and it was the healthiest I’ve ever felt. Rhett will not run out of meals to eat but he will hit his head on a lot of doorways. He will also probably have his picture taken a lot because of this hair and height. Happened to my group a few times. If you ever go to Kyoto, you must see the Heian Shrine Garden! It’s beautiful.

Carrie Brooks on May 5, 2020 at 5:41 pm

I rewatched the Tonight Show clip to see what happened with the shirts, and if Link found a stick. No spoilers though! It was very interesting to see it in context of this vlog.

Carol Stein on May 5, 2020 at 4:14 pm

This pandemic quarantine has produced some of the best "off the cuff" unscripted content I've seen in a long time from the both of you. It's not only creative and entertaining, but it also shows the more personable side of both of you. I love this. Keep it going.

Christy S. on May 5, 2020 at 8:28 pm

Yes 😌

Taylor F on May 5, 2020 at 4:02 pm

I loved every minute of this vlog! This was quite the conversation. You never knew what Link was gonna say next. Thank y’all the great work you do even in these trying times!

Michael Lanning on May 5, 2020 at 3:50 pm

When eating a full meal, a health expert said you should at least take 20 minutes to eat.

JM on May 5, 2020 at 3:43 pm

Link has no filter anymore. I love it. x)
But please, you guys need to meet somewhere. Like in the desert and try to keep the distance but try to do something together! Like play petanque or something. x)

Cate Abel on May 5, 2020 at 3:06 pm

This is wonderful. This whole entire thing is wonderful. I love this vlog. This is my favorite one. Link it up, everybody and don’t half ass anything EVER!

Allyson Parmer on May 5, 2020 at 3:06 pm

chaos pure unadulterated chaos lol

hang in there link

Leena Pentti on May 5, 2020 at 1:49 pm

I am truly grateful for every second of this vlog. I've been in quarantine since mid-March now, living on my own, and despite being an introvert, I'm starting to miss talking to people in real life. I've seen my parents a few times, briefly, and gone for walks with my dad, but we're all at high risk of contracting the virus.

Yesterday our goverment declared their plan to open up the society in the next month, which will mean more covid-19 cases, and for me and my family, that means even strickter quarantine, probably until the vaccine gets ready.

I try to keep my expectations low - it's the little things like my weekly therapy session in video call, or everything you post, that I look forward to. And I look forward to the summer because my parents can then come visit my garden patio. I've started to talk to spiders and stray cats, in my isolation, and I call my brother every day. The one thing I want to do after all this is over, is to go to my favourite mall, buy a large vanilla latte with oatmilk, and sit in the café and just watch people. And I miss feeling joy for shopping, instead of fear.

But Rhett and Link, have you at any point considered taking a break from family chaos and go to the creative house for a while? If you've both stayed away from other people, there should be no risk in that. It might help you unwind a little. But stay safe!

Jessica Mueller on May 5, 2020 at 7:16 pm

I feel like you are describing me! Now I feel a little less weird about talking to the pigeons.😂 Hang in there!!💚

Daisy Reyes on May 5, 2020 at 1:39 pm

That was great! Rhett, I’m glad y’all kept talking through the shirt thing. So much was discussed with only 2 questions! Link, I’m also a 1 (enneagram) so I get it! This was so much fun. Thank you for sharing it with us, REALLY!

MaryJo Magee on May 5, 2020 at 5:54 pm

Yes I loved the last few minutes and shirt discussion too, its seems very typical to what the do before every GMM or TV appearance

Kristina Glasgow on May 5, 2020 at 1:14 pm

Thank you for still doing these. I know life has to be alot harder being in a big city.

I live in a small town. Running a food bank, I still have to go out several times a week, but it's definitely different being in a small town. I went into the bigger town 20 minutes away for supplies twice. There was a huge sense of paranoia. We had the masks and gloves and everything else. Wipes... antibacterial lotion....

I am an introvert to a large degree, but I miss chatting with people and hugs - physical contact. I use my hands alot so I'm usually tapping someone's arm in the midst of gesturing wildly. When I know people, I'm an extrovert to the sense that I'm dancing, singing, joking, hugging....

I miss going into the city, 45 minutes away. I drove around for an hour the other day just so I could escape the house.

I ramble like this to say I know it must be hard for the two of you and all of Mythical, because you're facing personal challenges (as we all are) as well as logistical business challenges.

Thank you all for all you do. Between Mythical content that I've been binging (only a bit over one season left on GMM and GMMore before I switch to Ear Biscuits) and my new vinyl nightly routine... I've been managing to keep a steady keel.

To Link: Thanks to yourself and Britton for your listening parties - they mean alot.

To Rhett: I"m sorry you and your son missed out on the trip you've been dreaming about for so long.

Mina Poling on May 5, 2020 at 12:55 pm

Rhett has mentioned so many times now that he is getting used to/enjoys Link more on a thinks he doth protest too much
