I would definitely watch a remake of this spy series!!! LOVE IT!!!

Erin ONeill on April 5, 2021 at 12:11 am

Take it from the people who watch your content. We know what makes us laugh. Is this a masterpiece of comedy? No. But it's entertaining. It's better than Mythical Kitchen, I'll tell ya that.

Chi Sol on March 30, 2021 at 1:27 am

I agree, I think this might be one of the series that I just liked bec you guys were in it not really because it was quality.

Alice Roelke on November 30, 2020 at 7:54 am

"We can go after him!" also "I kind of want that." Wouldn't it just be funny if you ended up advertising them again FOR FREE IN THIS VIDEO and then buying some of those novelty items as well???

Joshua Bowers on October 15, 2020 at 5:48 pm

That moustache.... epic

StormCrow on October 11, 2020 at 3:35 pm

I actually remember these. Can't believe it was so long ago though

James McCreless on October 2, 2020 at 5:40 pm

Y'all need to bring these back 🤣🤣

Stephanie Short on October 2, 2020 at 12:42 am

This was a fun React! I agree with what others have said about being our own worst critic. I would cringe and die too watching myself back in anything lol, so I can see where you are coming from...but I honestly think Seaborne & Roach is so great! I find it so funny and charming! I love all the episodes and I think both of you do a really good job with your acting, I also love the swap of characters from what you both normally play. I think there is tons of potential in making more of these kinds of sketches. Being a fan for 6 years, I know they are fan favorite for most who have gone back and watched all your work!

Abigayle Cosenze on September 29, 2020 at 1:13 am

yeah, this was dope.

Kennedy Murtagh on September 27, 2020 at 9:47 pm

wow i had no idea these sketches existed and i LOVE them!

Amanda Montgomery on September 30, 2020 at 8:39 am

I'd still welcome a seaborne and roach reboot. 🤷‍♂️

Melanie Baker on September 27, 2020 at 2:44 am

I was a huge fan of CHiPs back in the day, and the back and forth banter of these 2 goofballs was reminiscent of the Ponch & Jon interactions from the show. S & R also has the awkward dryness of hit shows like Get Smart and even a little bit of The Office vibes. That's why we love this stuff!

Guru Shabd Khalsa on September 26, 2020 at 5:36 pm

while I’m sad that Rhett and Link seem genuinely bummed by these episodes, I have to say I really like the Seaborne & Roach stuff! they’re too short to be cringe and the gentle antagonism that Rhett offers to overly serious Link is charming and fun. these are still good and I would love more.

these react videos are super fun!!!

Claudia Allen on September 26, 2020 at 8:54 am

I love watching the Rhett and Link react episodes. It's so easy to self criticize and think of ways to do it better now. But that was a different point in your careers and
you had so much less to work with, like cameras, sound effects, crew, etc. These are wonderful. I also love hearing about the business aspects, early contracts, prices offered, etc. I'm glad you said no to the low offer, and even if you DID get the same amount from the sponsor (which you didn't), it's the principle! Please keep doing these!

Daniel Wolterink on September 26, 2020 at 6:35 am

"Why are you in the back seat of a car?!" I literally had exactly the same thought, and just kept thinking it! So glad Stevie asked them that. I had absolutely no idea what an El Camino looks like.

Shawn Bowie on September 26, 2020 at 4:16 am

Seabourne and Roach: Los Angeles would be a good spinoff!

Laurie Owen on September 25, 2020 at 2:42 pm

Personally I find the whole set of videos hilarious! Just something about the hoky factor that makes me laugh every time.😂😂

Kristina Glasgow on September 25, 2020 at 6:18 am

I liked Seaborne and Roach. Can't lie. It's hokey, sure, but in the best way. I laughed harder than I should've at the I'll be Eagle and you'll be Penguin bit. It reminds me of the movies that poke fun at genres. Like "Down With Love" pokes at Rock Hudson and Doris Day movies or Scary Movie poked at that genre.

Only thing that truly WAS horrible? The facial hair - BOTH the chin strap and the mustaches (long one and the shorter one in the fourth (?) episode.

Adam Temple on September 24, 2020 at 3:40 pm

That was fun.

Scarlett Mowrey on September 24, 2020 at 7:38 pm

just watched them. loved it. I think they are great !!!

Therese Arnesen on September 24, 2020 at 7:36 pm

This was amazing!! I loved Seaborne and Roach, geez I even made my own printed tank top with the logo and picture 😂❤️

Erica Darnell on September 24, 2020 at 6:37 pm

“MATTHEW! MATTHEW!” really was funny as hell, though. 😂
The redneck in me was drooling over that El Camino SS. That *was* a cool-ass car. If do I say so, myself.

Erica Darnell on September 24, 2020 at 6:43 pm

And I second what others were saying about being your own worst critic. I say this all the time as a reminder to myself. No one analyzes you to the same degree that you do. But then again, that’s how you grow, which y’all absolutely have. I’m sure over 16 1/2 M subscribers would agree. 🙂🖤

Terrance Mattox on September 24, 2020 at 10:00 am

Sure beginnings are gonna be odd to see but it doesn't mean it's bad , its something to learn from on how to improve , grow and create who you are and how you wanna be . I still think it's good I like everything Rhett and link do there chemistry together is amazing like abbot Costello , laurel and hardy , Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis and so on . So guys I say this congrats on the improvements and your success..

Abby Friedman on September 24, 2020 at 5:40 am

The thing that weirds me out most about this sketch is seeing Rhett’s naked upper lip. I feel like one of those babies seeing their dad without a beard for the first time 😂😂

Liz on September 24, 2020 at 3:50 am

I really love these sketches! They are ripe with potential, and when the humor clicks it is perfection. I can definitely see your comedic writing and acting skills developing and growing, and that’s totally something to be proud of.

I also really enjoy when you two play against Type with Link being the higher status clown/straight man and Rhett being the more “odd” one. You do play them well.

Jessica Mueller on September 23, 2020 at 8:21 pm

Seaborne and Roach are nostalgic so we will always love them. No matter how bad you think they are. 😉
I personally like how they are sort of opposites of your actual selves. Rhett has glasses and Link doesn't. Link is kinda grumpy and skeptical of everything where Rhett is dorky and sort of gullible. And I do think it would be fun to see what you would do with them now! I'm sure plenty of MBs would love it.

R&L React is probably my fave MS content, keep it up! I love it!!😁 How about Superhero and Sidekick? I like them even better than S&R.

Heather L Hogan on September 23, 2020 at 7:40 pm

I think the way you're able to see what you would do differently now means that if you did something like this now, even just similar in context/characters today, it really would be SO good. I mean, I think of some of the sketches you've done for IGTV recently and they're hilarious, like the one where Link was a 007-type-character, and I think what people really like about Seaborne and Roach is the theme/vibe of the characters. Sure, Link is maybe stronger at playing a less angry, more nuanced character, but it's fun to go back and see him in a role that is so different than what he tends to play these days. I think that's just one part of why people ask for a Seaborne and Roach reboot. There's also something to the way Rhett's character is the softer/sillier one of the duo... that whole role reversal where they still clash/compliment each other is interesting to watch.

Anyway, we really just want to see y'all use your creativity and humor and sketches are one of the best ways you've done that.

Emmelle Perry on September 23, 2020 at 7:30 pm

Seaborne and Roach should come back as part-time weekend PI's who are investigating the Mandy Brother's mysterious source of income. Or Rusty and Larnold's shady background. Or Rabbit Lightning's true identities. Or Clownshark. They were hired by LoRhetta and Linkita. Give yourselves some credit. It's funny.

jacquelin Davis on September 26, 2020 at 11:24 am

Those are great ideas! I have a real fondness for Seaborne and Roach. I thought they were funny on their own for exactly what they were. I hate that ya'll look back on them and cringe. They were very funny.

Celina on September 24, 2020 at 2:28 am

when we said bring back seaborne and roach we literally meant it, i would still gladly let seaborne run me over with a dump truck then spit on my face 👁👁

Christy Soria on September 23, 2020 at 7:15 pm

Darrell: "MATTHEW!!......MATTHEW!!!"

*You then hear a dog bark in the distance*

That's the part that made me laugh 😂

All in all, I do enjoy Seaborne and Roach. And the later on new intro of Link singing "SEABORNE AND ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO--ACH!" 😁
You guys are so tough on yall selves about your acting from back in the day.
Quit it! :P
You guy's have come a long way and are still shining ever brighter.~🤗

Catherine Abel on September 23, 2020 at 7:08 pm

This series was very entertaining! It was a good series. Even if the acting wasn’t stellar 😉. Imagine, just imagine, the antics they could have now! Some of us would genuinely love to see them come back.

Nia Raines on September 24, 2020 at 1:56 am

I agree you should not be that hard on yourselves I think the series was amazing you guys should be proud 🤗

Candace Underhill on September 23, 2020 at 10:32 pm

I love to watch your reactions to things you have done. I have to say though, I find Seaborne and Roach funny, so I'm definitely going against what you said. I appreciate those sketches for what they were. You guys were definitely going against type, with Link being a goofy guy in reality, playing the serious guy and Rhett playing the goofy guy who isn't taking it seriously. Also, the references were funny because I grew up with all those shows. I can understand you not wanting to bring this back, but now knowing what you know and having come so far; you could really do so much with it and improve it. If not, I'm grateful for the opportunity to see you react to it.

Daisy Reyes on September 24, 2020 at 1:51 am

I love these react videos. You are your own worst critic for sure. Yea, ok it was a little cringy but I love to get insight into your evolution. I only found you guys this year so every little throwback I get, it feels special. I love hearing you guys talk about what you’ve learned, how you’ve grown, what you’d do differently now.

Erica Darnell on September 24, 2020 at 6:39 pm

I second this. :)

Madison Christian on September 23, 2020 at 6:12 pm

it doesn't matter how many times i have watched those videos, they ALWAYS make me laugh. i personally think link's acting is freaking AMAZING, i don't know what he's talking about. his tone and attitude is perfect and SO well done. i just love everything about those characters. rhett, i hear you saying that we should stop asking, but No ❤️

Abigail Way on September 23, 2020 at 6:05 pm

I loveee this series, I've watched it so many times. lol so cool seeing them react to it!

Rebekah Kiess on September 24, 2020 at 1:00 am

I had actually never seen these before so when I saw y’all were reacting to it I had to go to YouTube to watch them all first. The funny thing is as I was watching them through I was pretty impressed with the acting- especially from being 12 years ago. I found it quite entertaining and love the concept of two less than average PIs ✨doing their best✨
If y’all brought this back it would be amazing because there’s so many directions y’all could take a series like this. You'd give nostalgia to the long time MBs and it would just be so much fun to see how much of a difference 12 years makes in the way y’all look, act, produce, and create. pls consider 🥺👉👈

Rebecca Hemmingson on September 23, 2020 at 5:56 pm

I hadn't actually seen Seaborne and Roach before and I freakin loved that! You could do like a modern version that you're happy with? Anyway I'm sure that these are a lot better than other things from 12 years ago lol times were different then :) You're always your own harshest critic :)

Allison Young on September 23, 2020 at 5:55 pm

There’s still a lot of potential, y’all...but go ahead and break our hearts by never bringing them back. 😜

Erika K Jones on September 24, 2020 at 12:53 am

Its definitely not as bad as you think it is! and you may have completely dashed our hopes but I still think a revamped updated Seaborne and Roach would be hilarious!

Nikita McLaughlin on September 24, 2020 at 12:50 am

omg I love watching the do the reactions. i love watching their old stuff to see how they've grown with the times and made such a big company out of it!! Mythical is such an amazing company and I'm so happy I've found it and became such a big part of the community now 💖💖
Thank you so much Rhett and Link. you've also helped me finally discover my dream job for the first time ever. almost 23 and I've never known what I wanted to do in life but now I've discovered I want to be part of an art department in a film industry. watching BTM has helped me discover that!

Nikita McLaughlin on September 24, 2020 at 12:41 am

yes bring back and do better versions of your sketches !!!!!

Grace-Anna Davis on September 23, 2020 at 5:27 pm

Anna Baldwin on September 23, 2020 at 5:18 pm

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I LOVE SEABORNE AND ROACH...can we have them back sometime, as a treat 🥺

Anna Baldwin on September 23, 2020 at 5:26 pm

also you guys are too hard on yourselves, we all love them!!

Anna Baldwin on September 23, 2020 at 5:34 pm

note to self: don't comment before you finish the video cos then you'll look like a fool

Liz Glass on March 5, 2021 at 9:36 pm

You guys are too hard on your former selves both creatively and personally. It was good then and all that hard work led you down the mythical path to amazing work! For fans and mythical beasts, it's fun to watch because you not only react to the content but share insights.
