Please do more episodes! These are so great! I love all of the society originals, and it seems strange that there was a lot of new content for a while, but now no new shows or new episodes for a few months. Bring back new episodes, please!
Loved this episode. please do more.
I hope there is more of this! Love the ladies!
i really hope there will be more of that ask tho, i really love this show!
I love these ladies individually and together they're hysterical! Being a girl who's 33 who feels simultaneously young in the scheme of things but like an old lady I appreciate hearing other people close to my age complain about the gray hair coming in on their temples and how their body is already deteriorating. Make new episodes please!!!
The subject of whether beauty is for yourself or for others' attention always interests me, because I find my internal arguments running in circles and I end up with no answer whatsoever. If our concepts of beauty (e.g., makeup, shaving/waxing, fashion/style, etc.) are inherently founded and exist only due to socio-cultural standards that are judged by others on a near-constant basis, can we ever escape that and attain a truly "for me only" approach to beauty? Can we ever shake the cultural origins of what we as individuals consider beautiful, or truly shed ourselves of the desire to be recognized for our physical appearances and attain a sense of self-worth and beauty that has absolutely zero reliance on anyone else's perceptions, like some kind of Buddhist enlightenment?
My feeling is it's never truly possible because no one exists in a vacuum, but idealistically, we want to feel like our beauty is for ourselves, and so we preach it even if we can't practice it. Hope that's not too bleak! Ha...
love these ladies so much! I hope there will be more of this show.
I 💘 this show!! I finally got to watch it earlier tonight. Hilarious!!! As someone who is her 4th(!!) decade, I feel way more in tune to what my body is asking for and extremely comfortable in my skin. In my early thirties, I stopped listening other people's opinions and started considering what my body needs, and I feel better and do better because of that. As each decade goes by, I start to make small changes as necessary, And I feel great!! I love you're able to share your stories with this gen and the next ones. Can't wait to see more!!
100% my favourite society original. Any of the really long ones tbh I need 40+ minutes! 😊
This is my absolute favorite show on here and i wish they had one every week. Giving these ladies their own show was one of the smartest things you guys have ever done. LOVE IT!!!!!
This is my favorite show! You guys are so funny! I love hearing all your stories and opinions!
This was the most relatable beauty themed conversation I have ever seen. I hope you get to make That ask though even after GMM next season starts. 💓
New member! This was the first episode I watched (Im slowly catching up with all the shows etc here). I loved this so much, the conversation is so open and straight to the point. I feel peer pressure is a big problem with how girls feel they should look and act at an early age. I started shaving beginning grade 7 due to remarks of other girls. An ex-friend constantly reminded of my small boobs. Now I am going on 30 and I am finally happy with who I am, including my style and choices and I can say that I dress to look and feel good for myself. If someone happens to compliment me, that is a bonus! I wish i could go back to being like 14 and to tell myself to just be me and to hell with the other people. Like Emily, I prefer to shave... It makes me feel good. Long bath, shaving, washing hair and moisturising is my special pamper beauty time. I felt like I was sitting with you girls and chatting away. Makes me miss my girlsfriends, we could spend hours chatting away like this and over similiar toppings. I love you guys! Thanks for the great content.
This is definitely a show for the ladies or for the men that really need too know what goes on in the woman's world lol
Thank you so much for watching! Super glad to hear you've gotten to a place where you're comfortable with yourself, wish we could bottle that feeling and distribute it to all young people like liquid dayquil. Appreciate you sharing this!!!!!
Wow that ending lol. I love these so much! I always think I'll have them on in the background whilst I do something but then end up totally drawn into the conversation and dedicatedly watching. Please have Stevie on as a special guest tho - I love hearing her laugh off camera with you guys!
Our people are talking to Stevie's people about coordinating a guest appearance, but talks are very tense at the moment. Just kidding, but thanks for watching/listening!
Hahaha I'm also older (47 and a half!) and I really don't care about it at all. That being said, I AM made of chewed gum, I'm getting botox in my glabella, I love shaving and wearing a bra (why are people wearing uncomfortable bras? do they not fit? that makes no sense to me), and I've dyed my hair for many years, but I'm letting my natural grays grow in because the gray is actually better than my old boring brown color. I'm not promising I'll keep it, but I'm trying it on for now. Instead of hats, I have a collection of CROWNS. I wear them in public all the time. It's fun to see if other people say anything about it. >None of this was based on things other people have said to me or told me I should do, but it's what I like. And each of you ladies is gorgeous.
HAD TO GOOGLE GLABELLA & IT WAS NOT THE PART OF THE BODY I EXPECTED :'D. Anyway you sound amazing and I love you. Thanks for the wonderful comment!
I’m one of your older fans. I did not grow up in the age of body scraping, that said I really feel so sad that while women have achieved more control over their lives and loves we still feel the need to go through so much to be acceptable to both men and other women. As if our natural state is gross and ugly .
